If repairs are necessary, our experience in the log home industry allows us to choose the correct products and proper restoration methods. We work with the homeowner to develop the most cost effective and ascetically pleasing approach to restoring your log home to its original state.
If more intensive restoration is necessary, our team of skilled professionals will use the utmost care to restore your home to its natural beauty. We repair all areas damaged by fungal decay, insects or extreme weathering and will apply a wood preservative to prevent further deterioration. At Sun-Rise, we believe in prevention and maintenance, and we offer annual maintenance inspections at no cost to our customers after restoration has been completed.
Much of the log damage which we see can be avoided by providing adequate protection for the logs by extending roof lines, building awnings and avoiding balconies. Log homes have special considerations and a reputable log home builder will be able to prevent damage such as pictured below.


Balconies often trap water, snow and ice against the logs which may result in severe decay.

	Without proper protection from rain and snow severe damage can occur resulting in the need to rebuild or replace logs.

Insulation is not necessary in a well constructed log home and will draw moisture into the centre of the logs causing severe damage resulting in the need to replace logs.
